Great client experiences are as important to us as beautiful remodeling outcomes. We will do everything in our power to ensure that your expectations are met and that your project flows as smoothly as possible from design through construction.
We achieve this by:
- Learning your vision and wish list
- Understanding your lifestyle, needs, habits and schedules
- Choosing the best materials and methods within the budget without sacrificing quality
- Planning realistic schedules and minimizing disruption
- Fostering informed decisions and clear communications with a detailed contract, personalized project binder, selection books, experienced designers and knowledgeable vendors.
Design-Build Steps
When you consider JW Williams Construction, Jack will conduct a brief phone interview. If you are a fit, Jack will schedule a meeting at your home to see your space, discuss your budget and goals, and take some measurements.
Every project needs drawings (set of plan for actual pricing). Be prepared to pay a project development retainer to continue the design-build process. Jack spends many hours defining the scope of work so he can share a detailed plan and cost estimate.
Ballparks are for games, not remodeling. Jack doesn’t start with big number and backfill it with materials and labor. He begins with the requirements of your goals and works toward a number as he compiles tasks and materials.
If another contractor offers you a free estimate, it’s probably worth what you pay for it. By comparison, Jack will prepare a detailed document that, like a home, is built from the ground up. Top contractors like Jack are busy. They don’t have time to prepare lots of bids for people who are just shopping around. That goes double for Jack because he doesn’t just sell and design the projects. He manages them and does much of the work.
Once you sign the contract, a designer can assist you with selection of materials, surfaces and fixtures.
Plan to pay for the project in stages with the final payment after the punch list is addressed. If you need help with financing, we can recommend an experienced associate.
